Urban Planty – Slovenian vertical garden on Kickstarter

The revolutionary vertical garden Urban Planty is a Slovenian product that is currently fighting for its future on the popular Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. Urban Planty is the perfect solution for all enthusiastic urban gardeners who encounter obstacles when growing mini-gardens on their terraces and balconies, such as limited space or lack of time, basic knowledge and the appropriate appearance of existing gardening tools.

Urban Planty is an innovation of a young and ambitious Slovenian start-up team, which recently presented itself on the online platform Kickstarter and solves the problems faced by many people who, despite living in the city, want to have their own garden for growing herbs, flowers or small vegetables and fruits. Since most of them do not implement this idea due to lack of space and other limitations, the team developed the revolutionary Urban Planty vertical garden, which is one of the simplest useful accessories for urban gardening. Urban Planty is assembled from an aluminum stand, which can be adjusted to any height up to 2.85 m, so it can be placed almost anywhere. No drilling is required to attach the stand and the special mechanism makes the Urban Planty weatherproof, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. To set up Urban Planty on the windowsill the lower part of the stand is removed, and it can be adjusted up to a height of 160 cm.

Urban Baggie, which is part of Urban Planty, is a special type of flower pot made of environmentally friendly materials. The main material is jute, which retains water for a longer period of time, keeping the soil moist as if it had been watered regularly. The bottom of the Urban Baggie is made from recycled plastic and serves as a water reservoir. It has three basic functions: watering, fixing the pot to the stand and holding water.

The jute pot offers different watering methods: first, with an automatic watering system; second, the tank is removed, filled with water and attached back to the Urban Baggie; third, because of the natural jute fiber, we can soak the entire Baggie in a container of water and then put it back on the stand. Urban Baggie is suitable for growing herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables. But that's not all, because the Urban Baggie can be decorated to your liking, which gives us a unique gardening experience.
