The Vienna Vegetable Orchestra is exactly what you imagine under the name. An orchestra playing instruments made of vegetables. Their musicians do not use classical instruments, but different instruments. Did we mention that the vegetable orchestra sounds surprisingly good and that they serve you vegetable soup after the concert?
Ten members Vienna Vegetable Orchestra (Vegetable Orchestra) is quite a phenomenon. Their musicians use instruments made from different pieces of vegetables, which imitate the sounds of real instruments. For example, carrots replace the flute, gourds the bass, cucumbers the saxophone, etc.
In doing so, they face an unusual challenge. All instruments are created about an hour before the concert (they are created two to three hours), because unlike real instruments, vegetables don't last forever, but for a good, high-quality sound, they have to be fresh. Preparations start already in the morning before the concert, when the team goes to local market and chooses the vegetables he needs for the concert.

The orchestra mostly overplays original compositions and leaves absolutely no listener hungry. If so, after the concert they serve him with vegetable soup, into which even their instruments, not just the remains of their manufacture, change after they are played. The orchestra was founded a long time ago in 1998 and he plowed the fallow land in this field.
In addition to Dunajčani, there are several other such musical groups around the world. In addition to the musicians, the Vienna vegetable orchestra also consists of chef and sound engineer.
