The team vest.si prepared a documentary film about Slovenian rap entitled "Veš, poet, svoj dolg?", which will be available for viewing on May 3. in the Šiška Cinema at 9 p.m. Since we recorded a lot of material that we couldn't squeeze into a 50-minute film, you can watch some excerpts on the website even before the release of the film http://rap.vest.si/
Documentary film "Do you know, poet, your debt?" documents the history of the Slovenian rapper subculture and its meaning witha cultural and political reality.
All important representatives of the Slovenian rap scene appear in the film. From the pioneers of Slovenian rap: Jure Košir and Pasje Kartel, Ali Eno, Klemn Klemn, to all other important rappers: Trkaj, Zlatko, Murat & Jose, Nikolovski, Doša, Kosta, Ntok, Valterj, Tekochee Kru, Stekli psov...
Jizah, Zeds, Simon Stojko Falk and others also talk about Slovenian rap in the documentary.
After the premiere of the film, 14 artists will perform a concert (laufer) on the stage of Kina Šiška, each with one of their newer pieces:
