Villa Planinka in an idyllic valley in the middle of Lake Jezerski arouses the interest of the world's largest media even before its opening and sets an example of sustainable tourism.
The history of tourism in Jezersko goes back already in the 16th century, when they were coming to the valley below Grintovec spa tourists and mountain lovers. Due to its unique nature and favorable mountain climate, the place was soon called the Slovenian Davos. Vila Planinka, as it presents itself to us today, comes from what the surrounding nature has to offer. She grew up in the garden of four energy points, which were discovered centuries ago by locals. It is surrounded by a pristine forest, a source of medicinal lake mud and almost 1000 different types of wild plants. The most magnificent among them an extremely rare and protected species of wild orchid, beautiful shoe.
Good fairies already live in fairy tales, such as the landscape of Jezerski. That is why they did not interfere with the landscape with a new building, but instead recognized the potential of a decaying building in the environment (Hotel Planinka, which less than two years ago, an entrepreneur Marjan Batagelj) and tied the knot with Vila Planinka to a sustainable approach. By precisely defining the strategy zero waste (no waste), employment of local residents, cooperation with surrounding farms, local food and approaches that in an otherwise luxury hotel rejects modern technology, prove that their boutiqueness is "minimalism of the interior and luxury of the exterior".
They took the best of what nature has to offer and built the Villa from indigenous materials. Guests will find luxury in unspoilt nature, peace and a clear view of the starry sky. In none of the 23 rooms therefore you won't find electronic devices, which would disturb the calming energies in the villa. There are no radiating fixtures in the walls.
Vila Planinka is a place of rebirth.
