The village of Oymyakon is located in the heart of Siberia, and with a record-breaking minus 67.7 degrees Celsius, it is considered the coldest inhabited place in the world. The village with a meager 500 inhabitants was also visited by photographer Amos Chapple, where he captured some wonderful photos of life in extreme conditions.
The people of Oymyakon have to deal with special challenges that we cannot even imagine. They have very little plumbing in their homes due to the frozen terrain. Motor vehicles that are left in front of heated garages have to be constantly running so they don't freeze, and meat is also the main food of this area, because they don't have to grow crops due to the conditions. Among other things, he is a photographer Amos Chapple revealed that it was so cold in the place that his lens had already frozen.
