Vin Brule: a mulled wine recipe that is a hit this season

The Christmas holidays are just around the corner, you've almost certainly tried mulled wine this year. But have you tried Vin Brule, the mulled wine that is the hit of the season? We have the recipe and this is its secret!

Brule wine it is a particularly aromatic mulled wine, which is popular especially in the northern part of Italy. People believe it is right a mixture of spices, which is found in this mulled wine is what makes it so delicious, and some even believe that it should help with a better immune system. Ingridients

  • 1.5 liters of red wine
  • 3 sticks of cinnamon
  • 250 g of sugar
  • some cloves
  • peel 2 oranges, 1 lemon and 1 apple
  • a little nutmeg
  • a pinch of ginger (more if desired)
  • 5 to 10 juniper berries
  • star anise

Preparation

First, finely peel the lemon, apple and two oranges. We try to avoid the white part of the skin as much as possible, as this could make the wine bitter. Put all the dry ingredients in a pot and cover with wine. Put it on the stove (at a lower temperature). Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves. After 8 to 12 minutes, the boiled wine can be removed from the heat. If desired, it can be strained and decorated as desired. Enjoy... but be careful!
