For those of you who have already bought a ticket to travel to space, there is good news. Virgin Galactic's SpaceShip Two completed its third supersonic flight in the Mojave Desert a few days ago, reaching a record-breaking 21,641 meters.
As the company Virgin Galactic said, the spacecraft was transported to a height of 14,020 meters by an aircraft, which dropped it into the atmosphere at that height. Then, using a rocket engine, the "spaceship" reached a record height of 21,641 meters. With two crew members, the craft then turned around and sailed away, landing safely in the desert north of Los Angeles.
As they also said in Virgin Galactic, this ten-minute test is extremely important. The result they achieved brought the goal of commercial space travel much closer. It is not yet known when the first "tourist" will see the Earth from space, but everyone who has already booked and paid for a trip to space is, of course, impatiently waiting for it.
