Clean your ears, put on 'better' leather pants and get ready for Volkswagen Rocks, an epic battle of young Slovenian bands. Support your favorites on tours around Slovenia and cheer for them also on May 12, when the grand finale will be held at the Gospodarski raštavišče.
A presentation tour will begin in Slovenia next week promising young bands, which clearly shows that rock is far from dead in our country. Among as many as 126 bands that registered at the end of last year competition Volkswagen Rocks, was chosen by a strict jury happy 65, who will present themselves to the jury and the audience at the upcoming ten regional concerts. The winners of each of the ten preliminary regional concerts will then May 12 presented at the last, big concert at the Ljubljana Trade Fair. The winning rockers will tour as front group of Slovenian legends Šank Rock, recorded two songs in a professional studio and created professional video.
