Looking for a new series? Then we have a great suggestion for you. On October 21st, the new Watchmen series will start on HBO, which we will be able to watch every Monday at the same time. It takes place in an alternate modern reality in the USA, where superheroes have been ostracized by the authorities for their violent methods.
Series executive producer Guardians (Watchmen) Damon Lindelof (Emmy winner for the HBO series Lost and Found) brings the nostalgia of the original, subversive eponymous comics, while trying to bring his own approach and ideas to the story. Among the main characters are masked rebel renegades and outcast superheroes. Some band together and try to start a revolution, while others try to stop it at the same time.
Regina King leads the cast as Angela Abar with two guises: one as the head detective of the Tulsa Police Department and the other as a wife and mother of three. Among the players are others Jeremy Irons as an aged lord of a British manor, Don Johnson as Police Chief Judd Crawford, Jean Smart as FBI agent Laurie Blake and Team Blake Nelson as Detective Looking Glass.
