Above the emerald Soča is the gorge of the Kozjak stream, where the Kozjak waterfall stands out in particular. This creates the image of a corner of paradise, which is hidden from the everyday world by high walls.
The Kozjak stream flows through several beds and falls in six waterfalls, only two of which are accessible to visitors: next to Great Kozjak, 15 meters high (Kozjak waterfall), an even lower, 8-meter-high waterfall Little Kozjak.
It leads to the Kozjak waterfall, which is also one of the tourist attractions on the Kobariška historical route well-maintained walking path, which is supplemented in places by wooden bridges and a final terrace, from which a mystical view can be seen towards the rock amphitheater with a green pool and a white stream of water. And how to get to the Kozjak waterfall? On the way from Kobarid to the village of Drežnica, follow the turnoff behind the Napoleon Bridge over the Soča River.
And don't forget: the Kozjak stream with waterfalls is there protected natural value. Although the Kozjak waterfall is a great idea for a walk on hot summer days, as the steep walls pleasantly retain the coolness and slightly lower temperatures, swimming in the pool under the waterfall is not suitable!
