What we eat has a lot more to do with who we are than we care to admit. After all, our diet directly reflects on our appearance and well-being, and the way we eat even affects our relationships with people and is influenced by the ideological belief that is closest to us. Photographer Gregg Segal expressed his passion for food through photos of children with food, showing what they eat in a week.

9-year-old Kawakanih lives in the Yawalapiti clan in the Brazilian rainforest. Her mother tongue is Arawaki, which is spoken by only 7 people in the world. Every few months, Kawakanih travels to Canada, where he learns how to use a computer at school.
