Elon Musk and Grimes had a baby boy … X Æ A-12? This was first hinted at by the owner of Tesla on Twitter, and later the name was confirmed by the singer Grimes, who also explained it.
Even before the name was officially confirmed, some "internet detectives" got hold of the information that Æ could be a Norse ligature pronounced as "ash". But the name of the son of Elon Musk and Grimes (real name Claire Elise Boucher), so X Æ A-12, has a completely different meaning. That's how Grimes explained it on Twitter.
- X, unknown variable
- Æ is my dwarven spelling of Ai (love and/or AI)
- The A-12 is the predecessor to the SR-17 (our favorite air craft). No weapons, no defense, just speed. Great in combat, but non-violent.

Elon Musk later corrected her that the aircraft was not an SR-17, but an SR-71.
Musk and Grimes are still far from star pioneers of unusual baby names for sons and daughters. Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have named their baby girl Raddix. Rocker Frank Zappa named his children Moon Unit, Dweezil and Diva Thin Muffin. Recently, rapper Cardi B named her baby girl Cultures. And let's not forget about Apple Martin, daughter of Chris Martin.
Let's take a look at some of the most surprising baby names that celebrities have chosen for their offspring. Some are endearingly quirky, while others are refreshingly unconventional. You might even find inspiration for yourself, who knows. If you don't want to completely commit to an unusual name, maybe go with a cute middle name like Zooey Deschanel's for daughter Elsie, which is Otter (Elsie Otter).
The names are sometimes roughly translated, but of course the names cannot be translated literally. This is just for the feeling that you will be able to compare their "weirdness".
