More than 150 lecturers from 15 countries of the world, including leading regional and global experts, will gather in exactly one week at the 16th edition of the Weekend Media Festival in Rovinj to share experiences and provide insight into the most current topics and trends. The largest regional festival dedicated to media, communications, marketing and business will take place again this year in the old tobacco factory in Rovinj under the general patronage of Adris Group. Three days of inspiring lectures, unique networking and unforgettable entertainment will take place from September 21 to 24 and will once again turn Rovinj into the center of regional events.
With an emphasis on the business sector, visitors to this year's Weekend.16 will have the opportunity to learn the secrets of successful sales from none other than the real Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort, the sales wizard and entrepreneurship expert whose memoir inspired the Hollywood blockbuster. Belfort will be at the lecture The Good, The Bad and The Wolf spoke about the power of negotiations with the well-coordinated Sales Mindset team and revealed tips and tricks for successful sales via video connection. Lecture I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse explains the role of power in negotiations, featuring an award-winning Harvard expert on coercive negotiations and power dynamics dr. Eugene B. Kogan shared his experience leading thousands of executives around the world. Weekend.16 also brings many domestic success stories from the world of business, so we will be at the round table "Project Intelligiant 2.0" hosted Mirto Stantić, Alen Žunić, Vladimir Ivković and Srđan Kovačević, four young people from Croatia who are creating completely new values and who will answer the question of what they think is most important for success.
They will talk about the demanding world of communication and the relationship between journalists and PR people Vladimir Preselj, director of Millennium Promotion, Tomislav Klauški, journalist 24 sata, Ivana Galić Baksa, director of communications for United Media and Ruža Veljović, director of communications at Weireless Media Group along with the moderator Marigold Rendel, director of Prime time communications, at the round table with the title Where do PR people go wrong?. Round table Be useful will be an opportunity to discuss the modern trends of today with an emphasis on the phenomenon of influencers. Hana Hadžiavdagić, Ida Prester, Andrea Andrassy with moderator Lea Stanković from Communis, they will explain whether influencers are aware of their responsibility and how much they use their influence to spread awareness about important topics. The participants of Weekend.16 will also be able to find out what is hidden behind the cooperation between artists and brands and whether artists should represent brands with which they do not share the same values. At the round table Art of Brands a well-known regional designer will talk about successful and less successful collaborations Slavimir Stojanović Futra, street art artist Slaven Kosanović Lunar and musician and DJ Bizzo. Korado Korlevic, the leading Croatian astronomer and founder of the Višnjan Observatory, will talk about the impact of artificial intelligence on humanity, the dangers that threaten creativity and innovation, the end of the world as we know it, and the opportunities it gives to hope in the lecture Deus machina.
In addition to current topics, an integral part of every Weekend is also great entertainment. The star of this year's entertainment program will be one of the most popular rappers of the new generation - Grše, who became famous with the refreshing hits Mamma Mia, Highlife and SIP and raised the Croatian rap scene to a new level. The Rovinj audience will be entertained by well-known DJs such as Greg Wilson, Ian Pooley, Antonio Zuza at the Jutarnje List party, as well as at the Saturday party powered by Mastercard Dutch-New Zealand sensation, the band My Baby. On "The party of the great Perica" will perform Dino Antonić and DVP band and DJ Robert Mareković, and Veliki Perica's diary will also be the topic of the round table How did little Perica get big? Weekend.16 will round it off RNB Confusion, which is celebrating its twentieth anniversary, and they will provide entertainment until the morning hours DJ Medo and DJ Turk.
