The teaching profession is considered relatively comfortable by the public. This connects him with a lot of free time and a fairly solid salary, and many people cringe when they read and hear in the media how teachers are again dissatisfied with their situation. Many people do not realize that Slovenian teachers have as much paid leave as others, so they have to cover the two-month gap with overtime work. But in order not to go around in a vicious circle, let's take a step back and put their salaries in a wider context with the research of the international educational company GEMS Education, which reveals what teachers' salaries are around the world.

They are proof Switzerland and Germany, where teachers are doing the best in terms of finances, but are far behind in terms of the efficiency of the education system.
In Australia, where it is 60 percent of teachers are female, the annual salary is around 35 thousand euros gross while you can Slovenian beginner teachers on average per year they count on 16.300 and a few euros gross, and those with longer experience on 22,240 euros (approx. 1850 per month).
