One of the biggest technology events of the year – the Consumer Electronics Show – is fast approaching. CES 2018 will take place between January 9 and 12 in Las Vegas. The presenting companies will try to present their products in the best possible light.
let's see which areas of technology will be most represented at CES 2018.
1. Home automation
The automation of everyday products that we use at home already dominated last year's event. The same is expected this year. LG and Samsung are usually very active at CES, but this time Apple is also expected to participate, which could use its Siri in this branch of technology. A wide range of products will be presented - from locks to thermostats.
2. Smart speakers
Amazon has announced that the Echo Dot smart speaker was the best-selling product in the run-up to Christmas. As a result, this means that these devices will also receive a lot of attention at CES. The biggest players on the stage are expected to be from the ranks of Amazon, Google and LG.
3. Augmented reality
Next year, the company Magic Leap plans to release the much-anticipated glasses with augmented reality, through which we will see the world differently. They will want to cross their plans with Qualcomm, where they have prepared their own version of the glasses, called the Snapdragon 835. Surely others will add theirs.
4. 'Tech Fashion'
The opportunity is also offered to non-tech companies. In cooperation with technology companies, they will try to attract consumers with smart watches, bracelets or perhaps with something completely third. In past years, we have already witnessed presentations of smart shoes and T-shirts. Big players, such as Fitbit, prefer to present their new products at their own events.
5. Mobile phones
Given our dependence on smartphones, it's impossible to hold a tech event without devoting some space to them as well. However, it must be said that new mobile phones are mostly presented at private conferences. The main topic will thus be the establishment of the 5G network.
