Whether we want to admit it or not, society creates rules for what a perfect female body should be. In the West, women run away from excess body fat, too small breasts and buttocks, or skin and hair irregularities like the devil from the cross. But remember - people in any other part of the world would turn their heads to a girl who is 'imperfect' by European standards and celebrate her beauty.
It was months ago Superdrug presented the project, in which they showed what is the perfect male body in the world. The results were amazing, and they also brought a good dose of laughter. Following the success of the first project, this time they wanted to check, 'what a perfect female body looks like around the world'. With the project, they wanted to show how to better understand unrealistic beauty standards and how these pressures vary around the world.
Original photo of the girl they sent in underwear 18 female graphic designers from around the world and asked them to Photoshop a photo of a girl who has the perfect body according to the country's beauty standards, from which designer they come.
There are some changes almost unrecognizable compared to the original photo. Designers from some countries have created pretty similar girls, and the others are in completely created a new woman. Designers from of North, South and Central American countries have created hourglass-shaped bodies, while the results in European and Asian countries are completely different – it's a perfect body thin and narrow.
