We form our first impression of someone in less than a second. Do you know what you say about yourself before you even open your mouth?
Psychologists on American Princeton University participants in the research were shown photos of people they did not know. Each person for 0.1 seconds. Based on this, they had to evaluate their attractiveness, likability, aggressiveness, reliability. When they were able to look at the photos for a longer period of time, their judgments did not change at all. First impression it is therefore crucial and we create it in a moment. Interestingly, it is not even changed by later facts, which may testify to the contrary. So what do we say about ourselves in this short moment?
