Research by the Activia brand revealed what women long for

What prevents a woman from realizing her dreams? Danone's brand ACTIVIA asked itself this question and found the right answer as part of an international research.

The answer is surprising: women themselves and their critical inner voice influence the realization of their own dreams less than external factors. Under the password "Live InSync” – to be in harmony with yourself – a popular yogurt brand ACTIVIA motivates women to discover and exploit their potential.

How important internal attitude and balance are for achieving personal goals, has been shown by a research carried out by ACTIVIO done Google and GlobalWebIndex. Just like that 62 percent of the surveyed women say that they are fine critical inner voice it makes the path to self-realization the most difficult. "In order to be able to discover and use your potential, we must turn the inner critic into inner motivation," says psychologist prof. Ellen Langer. In order to feel good, we need to create a balance between mind and body. According to the scientist, for a positive attitude, it is necessary to establish the coexistence of body and mind. The inner voice can encourage women, make them doubt or even scare them. For these reasons, it often happens that women have too high demands on themselves.

  • 56 % respondents state that an inner voice tells them that they are not in the right shape to start a new hobby.
  • 67 % respondents state that they often put themselves under a lot of pressure to get the best out of themselves.
  • 62 % respondents state that their inner voice or inner critic holds them back more than anything else when making important decisions.

The 'inner critic' in a woman can even have positive effects, as it forces her to work hard to achieve her goals. In doing so, criticism must be taken as a motivator. According to prof. Ellen Langer, a social psychologist at Harvard University, the inner critic helps us find and use potentials and abilities if we learn to work with it. The survey also included women who are aware of their inner critic and cooperate with it.

They got the following results:

  • 83 % are aware of their abilities and take on a new hobby with confidence and joy.
  • 87 % feels good and sticks to his plans.
  • 79 % participates in sports more often and has achieved a good level of self-esteem, and is therefore more concerned with her body and herself.
  • 84 % makes them believe more in their abilities and find their own potentials at work.
  • 84 % makes them believe more in themselves and in their own abilities and stand behind their actions.
  • 82 %s are more confident when talking to people.
  • 77 %s are more ready to date because they are confident.

This study is the basis for ACTIVIA campaign"Live InSync". With the campaign he wants Activia to encourage women to discover their potential and to realize their dreams. True stories of women from all over the world help other women find harmony with themselves.

Two new flavors kept us company brand ACTIVIA – quinoa & sunflower seeds and spelled & poppy seeds. The top event was accompanied by the chef's creations Igor Jagodic, who prepared master plates from the ingredients of the two new yogurts.
