Good news for everyone who has ever played an instrument, still plays it, or even plays music professionally: today, thanks to the research done by many scientists, we can say without hesitation that musicians are more intelligent than people who do not play music . The reasons why this is so are extremely interesting, but the fact is that real fireworks happen in the brain of musicians when they play an instrument.
When scientists observed the brain, they noticed that different parts of the brain are active according to the different activities that we humans perform. But even if we listen to music, all parts of the brain become active at the same time. But if we play music, an incredible thing happens: the activity in the brain is so increased, as if there were real fireworks going on in it, and the state in the brain is somehow similar to that as if doing an intense full-body workout.
That's how it works with musicians the following equation: the visual, auditory and motor parts of the brain that are involved when playing an instrument active at the same time and with great intensity + discipline, which they must have for daily practice = thus strengthened all parts of the brain, that with increased cognitive abilities they also function in all other areas.
