What is Labubu anyway?
Labub was born from the imagination of a Hong Kong illustrator Kasinga Lunga, who created an illustrated series in 2015 The MonstersLabubu was initially just a supporting character – a kind of clumsy assistant who often inadvertently causes chaos with her good intentions. Norse mythology was an obvious inspiration, and yes, that explains why she looks like a cross between an elf, a troll, and a toothy nightmare.
But in 2019, something happened: Lung entered into a partnership with the Chinese to the toy giant Pop Mart. Labubu has transformed from a book note into a global icon. With its pointed teeth, a wide smile and a plush silhouette has begun to take over the hearts and purses of lovers of all things cute and unusual.
Why does (literally) everyone have it?
Labubu is not just a collector's item – it is a symbol of trendy eccentric luxuryWhen Pop Mart launched the first version in 2023 Labubu pendant, a global fever began. Since then, each new series has caused a sell-out in less than 30 minutesYou don't buy Labuba – You win a prize.

Conclusion: Labubu is not just a toy – it is a mood
Labubu is a kind of ironic, lovely note to modern aesthetics: a little bit of creepiness, a lot of personality and 100% charm. It's not just an accessory – it's a mood. And even though at first glance it looks like it escaped from a scary cartoon… we'll still hang it on our purse with love.
Because in a world where we all want to be a little different – Labubu is actually the most normal companion.
