Today, Ljubljana has come to life again as a city of wine and vines. On June 17, 2016, the 58th international wine evaluation - Vino Ljubljana, which is considered the oldest such evaluation in the world, began at the Ljubljana Castle. Ljubljana wine is also among the 10 most elite ratings in the world. The International Wine Fair 2016 will also be held as part of Vina Ljubljana from 20 to 21 October 2016.
From 17 to 19 June 2016 takes place in Ljubljana 58th international wine evaluation Ljubljana wine, which will take place at the Ljubljana Castle. Ljubljana wine has the longest history of such evaluations in the world and according to criteria Vinofed (The World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions) is among the ten most elite such evaluations in the world.
Vino Ljubljana 2016 will be held according to the rules OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine), and will sit in the jury 40 tasters from 14 countries (Japan, Italy, Macedonia, Germany, Canada, Montenegro, Austria, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Argentina, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia and Slovenia), among which there will be members of both mentioned organizations. They will evaluate 358 samples from 21 countries.

International wine fair, on which they present themselves with a noble drop domestic and foreign winemakers and brought to Ljubljana in 1987 the name of the city of vines and wine, is considered one of the oldest fair events in Slovenia. The 52nd "repetition" will take place from 20 to 21 October 2016.
