Wise words from a monk: if someone tries to humiliate or insult you, answer them like this!

"Life is not made of wishes, but of the actions of each one of us." - Paulo Coelho

Consider and heed this wisdom, and you'll walk away from every discussion the winner.

The monk was considered a man who was always calm and could not be offended in any way. People from the most distant parts of the world came to him for advice.

An evil man also heard this and decided to test the monk. He went to him and as soon as he saw him, he started insulting and humiliating him. When he ran out of insults, he stopped for a moment and realized with amazement that the monk was still as calm and composed as before his arrival.

This angered him so much that he began to abuse him even more viciously and ugly, but in vain. This seemed to have no effect on the monk at all.

When he lost the last atom of strength, he decided to go to the monk to reveal his secret to him.

"I understand your spiritual side and that you don't care what others think and say, but I humiliated and insulted you, you must learn to stand up and fight for yourself" the man told him.

"Son, can I ask you just two questions?" asked the monk, speaking for the first time.

“Of course,” said the man.

"If you bring me a gift and I don't accept it, who does the gift belong to?" asked the sage.

“Well, if you don't accept the gift, then it still belongs to me,” the man replied.

"And now, my son, if you only have an insult for me and I do not accept it, to whom does it belong?" the man asked, turning and walking away, the man standing there speechless.

Do not return evil for evil to anyone. Strive for good, if possible, have peace with all men. Do not take revenge, love! As Mahatma Gandhi said: "An eye for an eye and the world will go blind."
