Maybe you've never thought about flying a hot air balloon into space, but according to the following news, it may soon be possible.
With a balloon into space? Space the tourist offer, as funny as it sounds, has just become even richer. Halo Space is a company that offers to take you several tens of thousands of meters high in a special balloon.
Halo Space is a company specializing in high-altitude ballooning, and the company's latest acquisition is stratospheric (tourist) balloon flights. It is one of the key projects Hello Space – The Stratospheric Balloon Program, which involves launching large helium balloons equipped with advanced scientific instruments and cameras to heights of up to 40,000 meters above the Earth's surface.
At this altitude, balloons can collect data on atmospheric conditions, climate patterns and even cosmic radiation, providing valuable insight into our planet and its environment.
Ballooning into space for a different view of planet Earth?
In addition to scientific research, Halo Space also offers high-altitude ballooning experiences to individuals and businesses, allowing them to launch their own balloons and capture stunning images of Earth from the stratosphere. These experiences can last from a few hours to a few days, depending on the specific needs and interests of the participants.
If you are interested, you will be seated in a round capsule with up to eight seats and a pilot, which will then be lifted into the stratosphere by a monumental balloon made of recycled plastic.
The capsule has panoramic windows that allow a 360-degree view of the Earth. Thus, you will enjoy a spectacular view of our planet for four to six hours before returning back to Earth.
The first test flights are already underway, and commercial flights into space are expected to begin in 2025. By 2029, the company expects to organize as many as 400 commercial trips with approximately 3,000 passengers annually.
What about the price? The flight into space will cost between 100 and 200 thousand euros per person, and over time it should be organized on four continents.
