Lake Retba, Senegal

About 50 kilometers from Dakar is the unique Retba lake. The lake with its distinctive pink color attracts tourists from all over the world. The shade of the color seems "photoshopped", but it is this color due to the excess of bacteria that secrete the pink pigment. The lake contains a high concentration of salt.
