OPENING; PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION OF TOMAŽ BRADEŠKA, AUCTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF GALLERY MREJA AND BAD QUARTET

We will open the fifteenth anniversary and at the same time this year's season with a photo exhibition of the local young but experienced photographer Tomaž Bradeško. The exhibition will decorate the bar area of Ostrige for a whole month.
After the opening of the exhibition, you are all cordially invited to the long-awaited AUCTION of photographs of young artists from previous seasons, where we will reminisce about previous exhibitions in their company.
After the auction, JazzOstriga invites you to a musical treat, as you will listen to the quartet of the renowned young jazz guitarist Vitja Balžalorski!

Among the young, and probably also other Slovenian jazz bands in a broader sense, it is difficult to find another that could stand alongside the Balžalorsky Drašler Trio without embarrassment. The trio of young musicians, who are also known from Kaučičevo Kombo, create a sophisticated jazz band between the modern mainstream, a loose post-bop matrix and the right amount of free improvisation with all their dedication and sincerity. As a special guest, Jaka Ahačevčič, a saxophonist, active mainly on the Slovenian jazz scene and a member of various bands, joins them from time to time. This is how the new name - BAD Quartet came about. The band mainly plays original music and more modern jazz compositions.

Decadent already have some mileage behind them, this will be their first time in Ostriga. For music lovers of epic proportions; as someone called them "black metal in major". Nuff said.
SEPTIC SCUM
Old acquaintances of Sevniška Ostrige. The grindcore machine has been playing in the same line-up since the beginning, and they have released an EP.
SHUTDOWN
They come from Nova Gorica, they will stand on the Ostrigina stage for the first time. They will serve us heavy metal of the old school, and they have more than 40 decks and a demo behind them.
PARAGORIA (ex The Scourge)
The boys from Rečice ob Savinja have already performed with us. This time they will introduce themselves to us under a new name, we will also hear new material. They released the album From the ashes under their old name.
NATURE
The band Nature was formed from the ashes of Sinbolic under the baton of Aleš Jelovčan. The first performance took place right on our stage, and the band is already reaping success and positive reviews. Their music is basically progressive death metal, but we can also detect the influences of other genres.
MEPHISTOPHELIAN
There are still virgins on the music scene, they have released a demo. They come from Novi Mesto, and they will serve us uncompromising, violent and raw death metal.

Teater murnikula hosts the performance of ŠODR theater TO SO GADI

We will end Ostrigina's 15th anniversary with a guest appearance at Ostrigina's frnikuli theater!
Story from the movie These are bastards, one of the most successful Slovenian films of all time, is being directed Tijane Zinajić, performed in the theater for the first time on the stage of the Šodr Theater. Now the show is hosted in Ostriga. Before us, the characters of five boys, who are called disgusting because of their pranks, and the character of their good housewife Roza, father Štebet, young Mera and all the others who live in a multi-apartment building somewhere in Ljubljana at the end of the 70s come to life. The comedy To so gad takes us nostalgically to the time of socialism, healthy neighborly relations, brotherhood, love, ficuses, flags and youthful playfulness.
After the show, we will serve you great cocktails to close the festival and enjoy pleasant music played by the resident DJ. J
Project: "CITY OF FACES"
The City of Faces project is conceived as part of the Fifteen Years festival, which will take place in the first days of September in Škofja Loka. The project tackles the concepts of self-portrait and street-art on the other hand. By permanently placing self-portraits in a public space in the city center, we want to confront the surroundings with artistic production. We will invite many academic as well as amateur creators from the local environment, and we will also include in the project all others who are eager to participate in this kind of public engagement. The project will be divided into workshops, where the participants will be able to individually create their own portrait, after which the resulting works will be permanently installed in a public space, in our case the external concrete walls of the former Transturist Hotel.
