After we thought the battle for the best smartphone of 2016 was down to the iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel, Xiaomi unexpectedly entered the game with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone, arguably the most beautiful smartphone to date. But the phone, which boasts an edge-to-edge screen, has not only 'stature', but also 'voice'.
Xiaomi is with the model Xiaomi Mi Mix threw down the gauntlet to Apple, Samsung and Google, but it seems that with its design it caused severe headaches for Apple itself, because it is supposed to be like the future iPhone 8. Xiaomi developed it together with an industrial design guru Philippe Starck, which also invited him to participate some time ago Slovenian Gorenje.
Together they prepared a beauty with a 6.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels, which represents just 91.3 percent front surface, which is a record among phones (except for the bottom part of the phone, the screen is all the way to the living edge). In comparison, the screen of the latest generation iPhone, iPhone 7, extends to 67.7 percent, at Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to 76.1 percent and at Google Pixel XL to 71.2 percent. Similar to Sharp's concept Sharp Corner R practically has no frame. The screen is for 23 percent larger from the comparably large iPhone 7 Plus and offers picture with a ratio of 17:9.
Of course, all this entailed some technological compromises. The front camera took a short shot (5MP), whose sensor is half the size we are used to, and the camera has moved to the bottom of the phone. But that doesn't make it any worse. The last boasts resolutions 16MP, phase focus and the possibility of recording in resolution 4K. The speaker that replaced it also dropped out of the game because of the screen ceramic acoustic system, which converts the electrical signal into mechanical energy, which is transferred to the ceramic housing and thus creates sound.

The engineers didn't hold back when it came to hardware. They assigned him a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, which beats at 2.35 GHz. A version will be available with 4 GB of working memory and 128 GB of data storage space (for approx. 470 euros) and version s 6 GB and 256 GB UFS 2.0. (for approx. 540 euros). It will also have a more expensive version fingerprint reader and 18K gold camera bezel. The battery takes care of autonomy 4400 mAh with the possibility of fast charging (Quick Charge 3.0), and high-performance GPS for accurate location measurements. Xiaomi Mi Mix will be available in China from November 4, 2016 onwards, when we can expect it in Slovenia is not yet known.
