"What other people think about me is none of my business." - Wyne Dyer
Who are alpha males and females? They are dominant personalities. They are self-confident, they believe in themselves, they are strong, they have a lot of ambition.
Are you one of them? Check out the 10 characteristics of an alpha personality!
1. Don't get bogged down, get straight to the point
They know exactly what they want and need from other people. They say what they think, which makes people hate or love them - depending on how (un)palatable the truth is. People are either extremely fond of what they say or repulsed by it. They work their way, they don't allow doubts, they are clear, so people always know what they are doing.
2. They believe in actions rather than words
They don't waste time. They don't bother with spoken words or written messages because it's a waste of time for them, but they always respond to them out of respect for others. They believe in people's behavior, gestures and actual face-to-face interactions. For them, actions count, not promises. They stick to agreements and, as a rule, do not disappoint anyone. They also expect this from others.
3. They have no fear of missing out
They don't bother with parties and don't feel the need to keep checking social media posts. They realize that they don't need to know all the gossip or drama of other people, they will only follow things that actually interest them. When they are interested in something, they will do everything to delve into it in any way possible.
4. They do what they promise, they keep their word
Their words will always be consistent with their behavior, as they cannot and do not want to falsify their views in front of others. They are brave enough to speak up or show their disagreement about something and they always have reasons for their actions. They're not being sarcastic on purpose, it's just their way of showing sincerity.
5. They have few friends they can trust
Although they are sociable and have countless acquaintances, but only one or two people they can trust. They are brave enough to leave a toxic relationship. It hurts them when someone breaks their trust, which makes them value even more those who are by their side when they are down.
6. They enjoy being with themselves
They don't mind doing everything by themselves, they don't feel lonely because they are used to being independent. They rarely ask for help, but they like partners who understand their values and ideas. They don't mind going to the places they want to see by themselves because they know for sure that they can do things with or without other people. They don't need company to feel good.
7. They are simple
They rarely post their photos on social media, if they do, they will only share something really special. They prioritize privacy. They draw a line between personal and social life.
8. They do things they love
They have many goals and dreams to pursue and are always doing something they love. They are passionate and enthusiastic about learning new things in their life. They like to be productive, but not because of others, but because they simply like to do it.
9. They don't care what other people think
They don't live their lives based on society's standards because they have their own. They know exactly that they cannot please everyone and their motto is: "If you don't bother me, I won't bother you." They treat people the way they want to be treated. They also recognize their own worth. But despite having their own principles, they still listen and take into account the opinions of their loved ones.
10. They'd rather be single than be with someone who doesn't share their values
They decide to be single until they find someone who understands their dreams and goals. They want someone who challenges them and teaches them new things. They are attracted to a person who has big dreams like them. They will be single until they find someone who sees them not as a rival, but as a partner. At the end of the day, tell him, her, the alpha personality:"I don't need you, but I WANT you."
