Zarooq Motors is a newly launched boutique carmaker from Dubai that is taking the market by storm with the desert-adapted Zarooq Sand Racer. The two-seater coupe with racing genes is also adapted for driving on normal roads and will probably quickly become the new toy of the sheikhs.
From Dubai comes a new toy for rich sheikhs: Zarooq Sand Racer. Daring two-necked desert fox on "spikes" (raised chassis) it has a centrally mounted engine, and the body, which wraps around the tubular structure, is carbon and glass fiber. It is a 4.2 meter long vehicle, weighing a little over one ton (weight distribution 40:60), which will be driven by a Nissan 3.5-liter V6 unit with 309 hp or 227 kW (371 Nm of torque). For those who turn up their noses at this, an engine with 500 horses and 373 kW will also be available. Brutal power will be transferred to the wheels sequential gearbox.

The Zarooq Sand Racer will made by hand and from parts from local suppliers. In any case, the car will not lack the mandatory air conditioning (in the Emirates you can't do without it) and a spare wheel, neither infotainment and LED headlights. The Zarooq Sand Racer is an irrational purchase, but the dry ones are also an irrational purchase for most, and they go for honey. And at Zarooq Motors, they promise to release as well a four-seat, four-wheel drive version and an electric version, if their "firstborn" turns out to be a hit. Until then, he will prove himself in off-road races in Dubai. It will be available in January 2016.
