When to Geneva?

The mild climate throughout the year makes it possible to visit at any time of the year. Especially popular are the summer months from June to August, when the city comes alive with outdoor festivals and concerts. Spring (from April to May) and autumn (from September to October) will also spoil you with pleasant weather and you will also be able to admire the changing colors of the surrounding landscape. Winter brings a festive atmosphere with Christmas markets, and Geneva turns into a great starting point for the nearby ski resorts.

What should I see in Geneva?

Begin your journey by admiring the iconic Lake Geneva and its famous Jet d'Eau fountain, which rises 140m high. Stroll along the picturesque lakeside promenades, enjoy a relaxing boat ride, or just soak in the serene beauty of the lake.

After resting your eyes by the surface of the lake, venture into Geneva's old town and explore its charming cobbled streets and cute shops. Visit the Cathedral of St. Petra, climb the tower for a panoramic view and wander through the maze-like alleys full of boutiques, cafes and historical sites.

The United Nations has also found its place in Geneva, and you can visit their premises and learn about their activities on guided tours. Of course, there is no shortage of interesting museums in the city. One such is the Patek Philippe Museum, which reveals the secrets of watchmaking for which Switzerland is famous, and we also recommend a visit to the Museum of Art and History and the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.

In Geneva, you can also find many well-kept parks, one of which is the Parc des Bastions, where the famous Reformation Wall with statues of key figures of the Protestant Reformation is located.
