graphics, illustrations and analog interactive objects that visitors can play with or co-create – Opening: January 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Dolenjska cesta 83 in Ljubljana.
Most of the things we do, even the simplest of everyday tasks, are aided by the results of science and related technology. We take it for granted and it has quietly become a part of us.
Let's imagine that there is also technology for completely irrational tasks. The exhibition consists of "scientific" findings and "technological" tools that help the "user" in a humorous or poetic way with everyday illogical tasks, decisions based on feelings and emotions, and a fantasy world.
Živa Moškrič creates instructions for using time and the world, methods for processing and storing feelings, advertisements for things that are not in stores, tools for predicting the future. The installation explores one aspect of art: it explores the role that a work of art plays for the author and for the recipient/visitor.
Ziva Moškric is a designer and visual artist who currently works in the digital medium. She loves to research and experiment, using design principles in different media and with different artists. She works in the fields of illustration, film and video animation and advertising. She completed her master's degree in the UK, where she also worked as an art director, designer and animation creator. She has exhibited in numerous foreign and domestic galleries, and worked for renowned clients in Slovenia and the UK.
The exhibition will be on view from January 16 to February 12, 2012 at the Red Gallery. You are welcome. Admission is free.
The Red Gallery is a gallery, a café and a small specialist bookstore with a focus on design, photography, typography and illustration, so while viewing the exhibition you can also enjoy a coffee, tea and take the time to browse through design magazines in the Red Gallery.
