One of the largest motorcycle salons - EICMA in Milan, served this year with many novelties and announcements of motorcycles, which raised the pulse of many visitors and caused drool. Among more than 50 innovations and studies, these 15 attracted the most attention of the motoring public.
If we summarize all the novelties, we can see that they are from this year news concentrated mainly in the high-performance "superbike" classes and segment "naked bike" motorcycles, and there are surprisingly many innovations at enduro motorcycles intended road, but less such off-road ones use. Studies but they focus on revival retro models and to the most demanding "off road" tests.
IfAPRILIA RSV4 RR
The most sporty "superbike" aprilia returns with an improved version with a four-cylinder V-engine that develops over 200 hp. To tame this, the driver has at his disposal all the electronics known today, such as they are adjustable drive wheel slip control system - ESC also launch control system for lightning competitive starts.
BMW F 800R
The Bavarians presented a new version of theirs medium categorical naked bike motorcycle, in which the engineers took a step forward with the gear ratios of the six-speed gearbox, added some power to the engine and gave it new "upside down" forks and lighter rims. Refreshed is also styling or rather the appearance of a motorcycle.
BMW S 1000 XR
BMW also offered the image of an enduro motorcycle in a form intended exclusively for road use, the result of which is the S 1000 XR, whose water-cooled V2 engine develops 160 hp powers. The motorcycle offers excellent travel comfort and many advanced techniques in the form of electronic ESA adjustable suspension and the advanced ABS system, which prevents the wheels from locking even when driving through a bend.
Ducati 1299 Panigale
He got a 2015 model year Panigale bigger engine, with which he now achieves power over 200 hp. The S version also boasts of this active suspension, which automatically adapts to driving style and terrain.
Ducati Multistrada
The third version of multistrade is the most "high-tech" so far, because it is literally bursting at the seams with advanced technology. Namely computer management intake and exhaust valves, with the help of which it achieves more power (160 HP according to Ducati) and better yields. The assistance systems include driving dynamics control, cornering ABS and ESC and cruise control.
Honda RC213V-S
Hoonda surprised the public with a new prototype super sports motorcycle, which one connecting rods they are from titanium, the same applies to intake and exhaust valves, which are driven pneumatically using compressed air. A lot of attention was also paid to improvements in the engine and gearbox, whose gear ratios are spaced by only a few microns. The rest of the details are still somewhat shrouded in fog, but a power of more than 200 hp and a speed of around 340 km/h are expected.
Honda true adventure prototype
Honda is even more secretive about the next prototype called the true adventure prototype. All we know about this motorcycle is that it's meant to be driving on the most difficult transport terrains to which they testify in particular reinforced rims and massive protection the lower part of the engine. The off-road capability is further evidenced by the large handlebar protectors and the distinctively narrow and long seat in the style of "hard enduro" motorcycles. There are only speculations about the drive for now.
Husqvarna 701 supermoto
The Swedish specialist for enduro motorcycles, which recently passed into German hands, now wants to expand to models for road use. Proof of this is the newcomer 701 supermoto, whose 690 cc single-cylinder engine develops 67 hp, while the weight of the motorcycle does not exceed 150 kg. This should contribute to the excellent handling and agility of the motorcycle, and you can expect it on the roads from the future summers further.
Husqvarna 401 svartpilen concept
In addition to the announced 701 supermoto, the Swedes also set out what it should look like the motorcycle of the future renowned brands. In this study, the design is a combination of modern and retro approaches, where the former suggest LED lights and modern WP suspension, and the water-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine, which, like a motorcycle, invites you to ride, also shows technical progress. Despite everything, don't expect to see it on the road anytime soon, as the study is said to remain the same.
Kawasaki ninja H2
Ninja H2 the 2015 model year brings some powertrain changes, which means more power between the lines. Road version develops 207 hp, while competition R version produces astronomical 305 hp. Great emphasis was placed on aerodynamics, the color combinations are also new, where the carbon accessories have been replaced by piano black, previously typical of the fuel "tank". There are also changes in the electronics, where in addition to stability control (ESC), the driver also has various engine operating modes, a faster gearshift system, launch control and an engine braking system, advanced ABS and electronic steering damper.
Kawasaki Z 300
The fact that these "naked" motorcycles are gaining in popularity is evidenced by many innovations, among which it is worth highlighting "stripped" ninja 300, with which Kawasaki developed new With 300. Compared to the previously mentioned ninja, Z was given a bit more attention upright driver position, and inside the frame spins the same 296 cc two-cylinder, which loves to rev to high revs, and the clutch has been tweaked to allow smoother downshifts. There will also be a version with ABS, though against an additional payment.
KTM 1050 adventure
With the new 1050, KTM made a choice "less is more" approach and to him weight compared to the 1290 super adventure brother reduced by almost 20 kilograms. With this, they achieved greater agility and easier handling of the motorcycle and added a slightly lower seating position. In addition, the 1050 has more easily controlled 95 hp, instead of 160, in the aforementioned 1290. At the same time, the rims are more durable and require less maintenance. Nevertheless, the 1050 has and offers WP suspension, variable driving dynamics and ABS and ESC systems, which can be switched off, when driving off-road.
Moto Guzzi Eldorado
The Italian Moto Guzzi returned to the model range after four decades revived the eldorado model. The modern reincarnation of the legend brings rretro-modern design with classic chrome knee panels and original-like double stripes on the tank lid, fenders and elsewhere. Like the 1960s model, it's powered by a Guzzi 90 degree V-twin engine, which drives the rear wheel via a classic drive shaft. from the field of modern comes all the advanced technology known today, because adaptive driving dynamics system and advanced ESC and ABS systems.
Triumph tiger 800 XRx
They are British renovated tiger family 800 motorcycles that got improved 94 hp three-cylinder, which, in addition to greater responsiveness, are also more economical. Mid-range adventure models got a new look and adjustable levers, seat and wind protection, which no tools required for setting different positions. The Tiger 800 XR is now even more adapted for road use, as it has a lower suspension and lighter alloy wheels. The Tiger XC, on the other hand, has more obvious off-road aspirations with longer-travel shock absorbers and more robust alloy wheels.
Yamaha YZF-R1M
Yamaha develops an even more expensive and limited series of theirs "superbike" motorcycle - YZF-R1, which will be named after M suffix, and is intended exclusively for use on racetracks. It boasts of active electronically controlled suspension, carbine frame engine and special racing tires, which he provided Bridgestone. More powerful electronics will also be part of the equipment, which measures the forces and speeds of the motorcycle even more accurately, and based on the collected data, adjusts the suspension operation in a fraction of a second during the ride according to the conditions and the driver's driving style, and everything is aimed at the highest possible speed and the lowest possible lap time .
