The BMW 2 series active tourer is a different BMW and at the same time a home experiment of a compact minivan, which brings many new moments and challenges for this brand. It is a completely new philosophical approach of the brand, which required compromises and innovations. It is the first BMW with front-wheel drive, the first compact minivan of this brand, and at the same time the first to feature a three-cylinder engine under the hood. For those who are active at heart and those who simply need more space. A new leaf, a new segment and thus freshness from the heart of Bavaria. We had the opportunity to meet the active tourer on the streets of the Bavarian capital.
Skeptics and lovers brand BMW, will only shrug their shoulders at the above, but only until the moment they meet live with BMW-'s newcomers and took him for a spin.
This one 4.3 meters long compact from the class small family minivans namely, it proves that at BMW they know what they are doing and that they have the right answer even in this new segment for them. It impresses above all with the quality of production, which in no way lags behind the highest model numbers of this brand and them with with its fresh charm at times it even surpasses it. Consonance bodywork and power units they did great.
And for the cherry on top of the cream, we enjoyed the company of the version 225i. Only this one will be the strongest choice of the active tourer model here. 170kW respectively 231 horses doesn't sound very familial, nor does the info on acceleration to 100km/h in a pinch 6.6 seconds. Certainly data that will satisfy even the most demanding.
A winning formula?
