CES 2018: E-Novia Yape, the urban self-driving courier

Big cities also need extremely efficient logistics to make them more friendly to our lives. Public transport must be organized as much as possible, the infrastructure adapted to modern times, and the list could go on. Two of the requirements are the speed and efficiency of courier services, which are indispensable in larger cities.

A robot YAP (Your autonomous pony express), which will be an Italian company E-Novia presented at this year's CES 2018 in Las Vegas, might become the most desirable urban courier. A self-driving robot, which will avoid heavy traffic, will not contribute to air pollution as it is driven by it electric motor.

It will move at speed on city sidewalks 6 km/h, 'roamed' along the cycle paths with 20 km/h, but he will be able to travel through good ones 80 km. The YAPE robot is equipped with lasers and cameras, which will help him avoid obstacles and prevent possible collisions. You will be able to upload up to 70 kg load.

CES 2018 has already served us with quite a few interesting things, and the YAPE robot is definitely one of them.
