One-day trip by bike on the Slovenian coast
The Slovenian coast is invaluable for a one-day trip, as it can be explored and explored in various ways. Cycling is certainly one of the increasingly popular ones, so let's explore the Slovenian coast this time by bike. If we are not from there, the easiest way is to drive to Koper with a car loaded with bikes and find a suitable place where we can park it. One option is the parking lot on Šmarska cesta, from where we can start our one-day bike trip. Follow Dolinska cesta and then Ulica Istrski odreda and Veuščkova Ulica towards it Semedeli, from where we continue along the bike path to Izola. At the intersection between Leninova and Prešernova streets, we cycle towards the hills in the hinterland, where we will see a suitably marked cycle path. We continue the path to the right along the path through the Šalet tunnel and follow the winding paths between vineyards and olive trees in the direction of Portorož past Strunjan, where another Valleta tunnel awaits us. These are old tunnels through which a railway line once ran. Let's get down to Lucia and continue along Obala and Fazan, keep to the right and climb through Vinjoles to Malia. Let's take a break and rest here, the next village where we will wave it at Bared, it is Chared. We pass by Baredov Meadow the road descends to Gardener. Let's orient ourselves around the church and drive towards it Scarves, from where we descend back to Koper and cycle straight to Šmarska cesta, where we started our cycle tour along the coast.
One-day trip by bike in Gorenjska
For families with small children, cycling routes around Gorenjska are a unique pastime of free time and a great idea for a one-day trip by bike, which will be especially exciting for the little ones. Cycling tour from Masters to Carniola Mountains it will take us a good two hours in both directions, but if we make a stop in between, the journey will develop into a real cycling trip. We park the car in Mosjtrana and start walking past Triglav Grove cross the bridge and stick to the old railway route, which is arranged as a bicycle path all the way to Kranjska Gora. This will lead us through Mojstrana Martuljek Forest along the beautiful valley at Savi. The route is completely asphalted, well marked, and along it the locals have also prepared rest areas with children's playgrounds for tourists and cyclists. If cycling to Kranjska Gora is not enough for us, we can also visit there in the spring and summer Bicycle park or we draw the path to Subroot and Greens, from where a bike path leads us along a traffic-free path to the source of the river Sava Dolinka. Part of the Path of the Three Lands, as the cycle path is called, ends on Slovenian soil at the border with Italy, but if we are early enough, we can extend the trip and cycle it towards Lake Belopes.

A day trip by bike on the Austrian lakes across the border
One-day cycling on the lakes in Austria is a real balm for cycling travelers, as the part of Austria across the Slovenian border is known for cycling tourism and therefore also properly arranged. Around Sparrow Lake we will find many routes and possibilities for cycling. Near Klagenfurt, we can start the cycling tour at Klopin lake, one of the warmest lakes in Europe, as the water temperature rises to 28 degrees Celsius in summer. From here, 273 kilometers of cycle paths open up for cycling enthusiasts, and as many as 912 kilometers of paths for those who are a bit more durable and used to mountain paths. Let's start the 15-kilometer-long cycling route by the Klopinski jezera in Unterburg to the north. Let's cross the roundabout and continue straight ahead Wasserhofen, St. To Marx, St. Lorenzen, where we will cycle at Lake Velikovo. Brenndorf is the next village and outpost, where we can rest and grab a snack. Let's continue towards Schreckendorf and St. Kanzian and we will already be at the Klopinski lake. There are really a lot of cycling routes across the border. Many cyclists love one-day tours by the fashionable Lake Vrb, otherwise one of the largest alpine lakes in Europe, the cult Lake Baška, the deepest Carinthian lake Lake Milšat, Lake Osoj, which is famous for many concerts and events, and not far from Lake Vrbski we can also find Brownish, Habnarska and Walking lake. The places there are beautiful and a true paradise for cyclists, as the cycling routes are well-maintained and picturesque. With so many of them, it's worth taking a little more time than just a day or two to cycle through this beautiful piece of nature.
