The sideboard was once a central furniture element in Slovenian homes. Over time, the sideboard lost its role, as the way of life changed and with it also the needs of people. With the Sideboard project, the young team wants to connect us with Slovenia's long tradition in woodworking and thus re-place the basic furniture element in the space.
Sideboard is made of Slovenian wood. The added value of wood from the local environment and its higher positioning on the market are made possible by carefully planned design starting points and precise traditional processing. Oak it is bleached and protected with linseed oil, which preserves its natural appearance.
The glass doors of the old sideboards were replaced with fabric, which maintains the transparency and lightness of the element and folds harmoniously into an origami pattern in an innovative way. Otherwise, a single-colored fabric can also be easily replaced with a more colorful one colored or painted version, which thus adapts more to our space.
