McLaren Senna: a supercar with a legendary name

McLaren Senna

The McLaren Senna is the latest product from McLaren's Ulitmate Series line of cars. It is the sportiest McLaren that still complies with road regulations. It was named after the legendary Brazilian Formula 1 racer Ayrton Senna de Silva. Only 500 of the McLaren beasts will be built and a portion of each purchase will go to the Senna charity, and pretty much all of them have already been sold despite the £750,000 price tag.

The very first look at McLaren Senna it lets us know that it is compared to the rest even more unusual shapes. It is made with aerodynamics in mind, as they wanted the athlete to have as little air resistance as possible, in order to further increase capacity. He is a true representative of the mantra that form follows function. Dual rear diffuser and big spoiler they are the result of hours and hours spent in the wind tunnel. An unusual door are partly made of glasses, through which we can practically see the other side of the car and everything in between. The interior is minimalistic, and in it carbon fiber dominates. Despite the minimalism, McLaren has the Senna available audio-information system, reversing camera and a folding central driver's display. Any interior will unique, because every seat, steering wheel and pedals will be adjusted according to the measurements of the drivers or owners.

He will drive the McLaren Senna 4-liter V-shaped 8-cylinder with twin turbine, as we have already witnessed with the McLaren 720S. They finished it a little more and rolled it up so that it now rests a hefty 789 horsepower and what 800 Nm of torque. Compared to the 720S, the Senna is 79 horsepower more powerful and at the same time 85 kilograms lighter, as it weighs only 1,198 kilograms. Actual performance figures are unknown, but McLaren engineers promise “brutal performances“.
