At the Dutch airport Schipol, we can rent a plane, which is basically a pop-up hotel

One of the most beautiful and comfortable airports in the world - Amsterdam's Schipol Airport - now offers a very special form of overnight accommodation. The lucky ones who land at Schiphol during long flights can spend the night in a spacious pop-up hotel room, which is located in a modern converted retired aircraft.

Sleeping on a plane is completely different than sleeping in a hotel room on a converted plane. At KLM and Airbnb they are well aware of it. Aircraft enthusiasts are now offered the option of overnight stays in pop-up hotel rooms, housed in a converted retired aircraft.

The hotel room is not only special because it is stationed in the plane, but also because designer interior, a perfect mix of vintage and contemporary furniture pieces and home accessories that are just calling out for our visit. The hotel "room" consists of two bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two fully equipped kitchens and a comfortable living room.
