The Bavarians gave their smallest BMW model - the 1 series a thorough visual overhaul, which removed the questionable appearance of the front part and brought it much more coherent and dynamic in the style of the 4 series. The rear has also been changed, where new lights flourish, and more technology is revealed under the hood and two new three-cylinder engines.
BMW 1 Series, since its arrival on the market in 2011, has divided the automotive industry into two camps in terms of compliance and also the likeability of the front part. That is why it is present renovation The BMW 1 Series was so much more expected, a on the other hand surprisingly thorough. In addition to the nose in the style of the older sister series 4, it also brings a concretely refreshed rear part, as well as a modified central console and more advanced technology and prestigious equipment inside. The front lights thus got a much more rectangular look instead of triangular, the profile of the kidneys is also extended, and the bumper is different. LED daytime running lights are now standard, and full LED is available as an option for the first time.

There are some changes in the BMW 1 series inside as well, in addition to the new seat covers, the central console with the iDrive controller for infotainment control has been slightly modified. A 6.5-inch screen is new, an 8.8-inch one is available as an option. Among the new technologies, as expected, it got a radar cruise control (which its sister mini has had for almost a year now) with the "stop&go" function, and the latest generation parking assistant, which can park both longitudinally and transversely.
The engines are also a small evolution, where the unit got all the expected state-of-the-art engines, following the example of the 2 active tourer series, where now under the hood you can also three-cylinder 1.5-liter petrol and diesel in versions 116i and 116d, which develop 80 and 85 kW respectively. For now, it is not clear what will happen with the current derivative 114d with a 1.6 liter engine. The rest of the range is the same in terms of names and volume, but they have slightly increased the power of certain versions, one of which is the most powerful version M135i, which can now instead of 236 kW 240 kW or 326 hp, and in the xDrive version, it now needs absolutely everything 4.7 seconds.
The BMW 1 Series will go on sale right after the Geneva Motor Show, where it will be presented to the general public. The prices will also be known a little before that.
