It is really extremely difficult to make a car that contains as many nuances as the new Renault Kadjar. Basically, it's a car that wants to be everything. Family sedan, station wagon and SUV in one. It's not always good to cram so many shades of a car into a single concept. However, Renault seems to have done it well.
The way for the new Renault Kadjar (pronounced đ) was paved by his younger brother Renault Captur, which is otherwise the absolute winner in the second car class Slovenian hearts. That's why Renault he didn't have a hard decision to make and he did Kadjarja driven into a class where the competition does not sleep. That's why it is Kadjar just a little bigger than you and with a slightly more striking face from the average.
Appearance muscle man, which shows a six, thus separating it from the competition, which is otherwise decent, but still much more restrained. It appears to be new Kadjar he bets above all on his appearance, even though "Renault's" smarts are also not of a whim.
So on the outside it is among the larger compact crossovers, as it is almost as long 4.45 meters and widthwise 1.84 meters. We are always more interested in how spacious the interior is than the external dimensions, but there the trunk will not impress you with bizarrely high numbers, but only with the class average. 472 liters it can be a little or a lot. Of course, everything depends on whether you are an optimist or a pessimist. In the interior, we have nothing to complain about the spatial dimensions. It seems to be all together arranged nicely and the legs "breathe" even in the case of larger representatives of the male gender. If the exterior is striking, the interior is much more restrained and in a way too plastic.
Which is not a bad thing, because it is Kadjar in addition to the urban seductress, it is also an SUV, and it is fitting that it is inside somewhat more robust, and at the same time somewhat more spartan.
We had on the test 130 hp diesel, which is a beautiful area and allowed itself to be woven into the classics 6-speed gearbox. Of course, it wouldn't be a decent SUV if it couldn't handle standing, but dynamic 4×4 drive, which adapts to the ground and transmits power to the rear pair of wheels as needed.
It's a motor exemplary product, which does a good job with a rather heavy car. But it is necessary to realize that it is 130 French cavalry (320 Nm torque) anyway, just that limit value for a certain amount of fun. Anything less in this car definitely counts family, respectively retirement package. Therefore, we recommend that you take the engine when choosing from the top of the model palette.
130 horses will require the least 6.5 liters of diesel on 100 km/h, but more dynamic drivers will hardly come close to this number and it will always remain among 7 and 8 liters. A few liters more when driving in the city.
Bose Edition - a package that makes it even more attractive
Renault Kadjar Bose® Edition, like the one we had on test, boasts headlights Full LED Pure Vision, exterior mirror housings in glossy black, 19'' Egeus light alloy wheels, multimedia system R-Link 2 with a touch screen and a special Bose® badge on the fenders and door sills with the Bose® signature. In the interior, there is a noticeable emphasis on details such as the steering wheel Nappa black leather, chrome accessories in the interior, chrome speaker trim in the lower part of the front doors and special upholstery with a light gray trim for an added touch of elegance. For an additional fee, you can also choose leather seat upholstery. Of course, we can't pass up the proverbial soundtrack of Bose® equipment, which in Kadjar should take care of "disco” feelings, but we were a little disappointed by the sound itself, as we expected more from the Bose badge.
Renault Kadjar in package guise Bose Edition and the most powerful diesel drive with the label DCI 130 4WD it is practical dearest Kadjar and its price without special accessories (leather, panorama) starts at 28,900 euros.
A little or a lot?! For a car that wants to be a little bit of everything and succeeds in doing so... realistically and perhaps even very rationally.
