American professional skater Bob Burnquist realized his dream and built a floating skate park on Lake Tahoe.
A floating skate park floating on Lake Tahoe is a professional California skate park Bob Burnquist built with the help of colleagues in just four days. Bob got the idea for the floating skate park when he was a non-profit organization Visit California invitations to participate in a project that is supposed to make the participants' wildest dreams come true. Art director Jerry Blohm designed a form of wooden structure containing four different types of 'ramps'.
The floating structure consists of a metal frame, hollow plastic barrels that hold it on the surface of the water, a wooden 'facade' and weights that prevent too much rocking. Visitors who attended the launch could hardly believe their eyes when the skate park was pulled into the lake by boat, and Bob then personally tested it.
