It is located at the tip of a peninsula that flows into Lake Garda. Sirmione is famous for its impressive medieval fortress, the Scaliger Castle, and the Terme Catullo, where you can relax in the natural thermal springs of Lake Garda.

2. Malcesine:


At the foot of the mighty mountain Monte Baldo on the eastern shore of the lake lies the magical town of Malcesine. You can take the funicular up to Monte Baldo for a stunning view, and then visit the ancient Scaliger Castle.

3. Torri del Benaco:


On the eastern shore of the lake is the beautiful town of Torri del Benaco by Lake Garda, famous for its medieval fortress. Don't forget to visit one of the many local restaurants for a traditional fish dinner.

4. Tremosine sul Garda:


Tremosine sul Garda, a small mountain town, offers one of the most impressive road routes in Europe, the Strada della Forra. Stop in one of the local osterias and try the traditional Italian cheese Casolet.

5. Bardolino:


Bardolino, lies on the eastern shore of the lake and is famous for its vineyards. Visit the Bardolino wine routes and stop at the Cantina Zeni wine cellar for a tasting of the typical Bardolino wine.

6. Gardone Riviera:


On the western shore of the lake lies the Gardone Riviera, famous for the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the former home of the Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. Also, don't miss a visit to the Hruska Botanical Garden.

7. Salò:


Salò, one of the largest towns on the western shore of the lake, is famous for its historic palace, the Palazzo della Magnifica Patria. Also try the famous local dessert, torta di Salò.

8. Limone sul Garda:


On the western shore of the lake lies Limone sul Garda, famous for its lemon groves. Visit the citrus museum and taste some of the best olive oils in the region at one of the many olive farms.
