Before the start of the Geneva Motor Show, Land Rover released a photo of its new Range Rover Velar SUV, with which it enters a new car class. At Land Rover, they call it the avant-garde Range Rover, as it represents new dimensions of glamor and elegance.
Luxury SUV Range Rover Velar adopted the name after the prototypes from the late sixties, which were called Velar because they tried to hide the very identity of the pre-production Rang Rovers of that time. A word Velar namely, it comes from a Latin word velars, which means covered up. For now, Land Rover has not served us more than a photo, but more will be known already at the Geneva Motor Show.

Velar is somehow spoken of in superlatives by this English brand, as it is supposed to deliver new dimensions of glamor and elegance. It will share the technical guts with the model Jaguar F-Pace, and should give priority to road facilities. They will be under the hood four- and six-cylinder engines (the top of the range will most likely be the eight-cylinder) found in the models Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport, among which he will be included. It will probably also be available as hybrid, which will be the first for this brand.
