The Festival of European and Mediterranean Film 2016 is approaching, which will take place in Piran between October 4 and 8, 2016. Its main purpose is to bring quality European film with Hollywood films closer to the saturated Slovenian audience. As part of the festival, we will be able to watch the latest hits from the world's largest film festivals, such as Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Karlovy Vary, Sarajevo and others.
European and Mediterranean Film Festival 2016 (FEMF) brings 34 films from 26 countries. The seventh such festival will highlight German film production. It will take place in Piran from 4 to 8 October 2016.
The festival presents six program sections, namely the official competition part, masters/masters, documentary program, cultural education program, Germany in focus and a new Italian film. It will be on the program 60 hours of film program, which will accompany him varied festival events, such as a conversation with an Oscar winner and an honored guest of the festival, Danis Tanović, winner of the golden statuette for the film No Man's Land, Dunjo Klemenc and Čed Kolar and with Slavko Štimec and the film crew Name: Dobrica, surname: Neznan, and the program is also presentation of an international agency for actors with actresses Aleksandra Balmazović and Maja Martina Merljak.

Filmfile will certainly be attracted to a conversation with a film producer Uschi Reich and with the multi-award winning film crew of the Slovenian film Pojdi z mano. They will be among the special guests of the festival Barbara Glauning (professional collaborator of international festivals), Stjepan Perić (Croatian film and theater actor), Srdja Penezić (Serbian film director and screenwriter). Danis Tanović will receive an award for creative contribution in the field of world cinematography, Milena Zupančič, guest of honor at the closing evening, pa award for actor's contribution to Slovenian film. The films will be shown this year free of charge!
