The long-awaited epic drama about Olympic and war hero Louis Zamperini - Indomitable is directed by Angelina Jolie and a favorite in the upcoming Oscar race. This astonishing true story of all time, which, according to critics, inspires like never before, will be previewed in the Coliseum of Ljubljana, Maribor and Kranj at 8 pm on New Year's Eve.
A drama based on a world bestseller by writer Laura Hillendrand, depicts the incredible life of a sports champion to Louis Zamperini, who during the Second World War survived both a plane crash and 47 days on a raft in the middle of the sea, as well as the capture of Japanese soldiers and captivity in their camp. He survived daily unimaginable abuses and brutal experiences only because of his steadfast and indomitable will. The film, which represents the director's second venture Angelina Jolie, should also have good chances in the fight for the prestigious statuette - the Oscar. Unfortunately, the recently deceased will not see its premiere Louis Zamperini.
The film is coming to the regular schedule of Slovenian cinemas January 8, 2015.
