At the beginning of July, two exhibitions are opening at the Ljubljana Castle, an art exhibition with works by Lojze Spacal and a photography exhibition with a selection of 50 National Geographic photos.
In Gallery S it will be at Ljubljana Castle from July 8 to September 14 to view 50 photos published in National Geographic magazine, chosen by its editors as the best photographs of all time - from Steve McCurry's portrait of an Afghan girl, Nichols' photograph of Jane Goodall with a chimpanzee and the first images of the sunken Titanic to a mother and her children napping in Mali, a lion circumambulating a riverbed in South Africa and Muslim pilgrims in Mecca.
The exhibition, which is curated by the editor-in-chief of the Slovenian edition of the magazine, photographer Arne Hodalič, will not be the only one that will brighten up a walk around Ljubljana Castle, as the retrospective art exhibition Matrica – grafika – slika is starting in Stanovska dvorana and Palacij already on July 4th, where they will be presented by Lojzet Spacal, which draws its inspiration from the karst world, and it will also include some of his images from abroad, which have never been exhibited before.
