Between April 18 and 22, 2018, the Slovenian Cinematheque and the Ljubljana Kinodvor will host the Genre Film Festival - Kurja Polt 2018. This year's theme is When Nature Goes Wild. On the big screens, we will be able to see a diverse treasure trove of ecological horror, science fiction and films about natural disasters. Welcome!
Kurja Polt 2018, Genre Film Festival, will take place between April 18 and 22, 2018 in Slovenian cinematheques and in Cinema hall. Under the title When nature goes wild the bravest will be able to watch a series of ecological horror films, horror films with the theme of animal attacks, films about natural disasters and dystopias about the world after radioactive accidents. Among them, films will be shown on the big screen Long weekend (Long Weekend, 1978), The monster from the black lagoon (Creature form the Black Lagoon, 1954), Phase IV (Phase IV, 1974) and Roaring (Roar, 1981). Guest of honor this year's festival will be a Belgian director Fabrice Du Welz, a passionate cinephile and born filmmaker. In addition to the film screenings, one of the central events will be a professional one Cult Film Conference, which the festival organizers are preparing for the second year in a row in cooperation with Northumbria University.
