We have been dreaming about a robot that is more than just a useful tool for decades. The 30-centimeter-tall "Wall-E" or Jibo will become just that - part of your family.
At Personal Robots Group MIT Media Jab was recently created Jibo, a robot that already has some creepy abilities. It is made of white ABS plastic, glass and aluminum with an HD LCD touch screen and a 3-axis electric motor (also used in 3D printers) that allows it to move and turn naturally. Thanks to two high-resolution cameras, Jibo recognizes and detects faces and takes photos and videos independently, while a 360° microphone with the help of a language processor allows you to talk to Jibo anywhere in the room.

It also connects to your phone, makes hands-free calls for you, reminds you of tasks or events, and reads your messages. The company expects that various system developers will upgrade Jibo and make it even more "human" with various applications.
