Looks are deceiving - even when it comes to dogs. Even such large and powerful breeds can be more than suitable for families with small children, so it is a mistake to believe that they would pose any danger just because of their size. On the contrary, they can be very protective of small children, and as you will see below, just as love is not a race, it is not a breed either. Because love knows no obstacles.
It's a dog of man best friend, which does not mean that every one is breed suitable for families. Watchdogs and herding dogs can be e.g. very impatient or even overprotective of children. But don't judge a book by its cover, because even small dogs are not automatic the best company, because they like to be aggressive, jealous, because they bite, etc. When you have a child and a dog, it is therefore crucial that it is education a two-way street. Both the child and the dog need to be trained. Why? Because the right relationship is the foundation on which children grow sense of responsibility and compassion, self-confidence and desire for active leisure time.
