Atomic Blonde is a spy thriller set in the throes of the Cold War with the sexy Charlize Theron as MI6 operative Lorraine Broughton, who is a kind of mix between her colleague James Bond and the legendary assassin John Wick. The film is based on the comic The Coldest Winter by Antony Johnston.
Atomic Blonde directed by David Leitch leans on the comics The Coldest City from 2012, which tells the story of a spy who uncovers double agents trying to smuggle them west. They appear in the film Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road), James McAvoy (X-Men: Apocalypse), John Goodman (Mission Argo), Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella (The Mummy) and Toby Jones. Link to a character from the movie John Wick it's no coincidence, as Leitch directed the surprise hit with Keanu Reeves with Chad Stahelskin, and Atomic Blonde is his first solo product.
