In the medieval film Last Knights, Clive Owen returns to wielding a sword, as he did in King Arthur. This time in the role of the warrior Raiden, who is on a mission with his men to avenge his oblate master (Morgan Freeman) and overthrow the corrupt and sadistic ruler (Aksel Hennie). The Japanese Kazuaki Kiriya (The Legend of Goemon) played the directorial role.
Although judging by the trailer it has a movie Last Knights a kind of flair Game of Thrones, but parallels should not be drawn too quickly. It is true that the time of the action is similar, it is true that the swords sing, that blood spurts, that arrows fly, that they are in the game revenge and honor, but Game of Thrones is based on well-developed characters, something that Last Knights will have to prove. Otherwise, as Clive Owen says in the trailer, "Only time will tell how we are remembered". And it's true, only time will tell (time after April 3, 2015, when it hits theaters), how will we remember this movie. As hits or as something we have quickly forgotten.
